Bio
Alex is a multi-disciplinary artist who uses her work to explore social justice themes and navigate the complexities of her formative years. Alex is currently pursuing double degrees in Studio Arts and Psychology at the University of Rochester, with an anticipated graduation date of 2025. Her academic journey began at Monroe Community College, where she earned an Associate's Degree in May 2023. Currently, Alex works at Strong Memorial Hospital in an adult inpatient psychiatric unit, gaining firsthand experience in mental health care. This work continually nourishes her compassion for humankind and deepens her empathy for individual and systemic struggles.
Alex's professional accomplishments include receiving a grant from GVCA and exhibiting her work at various venues, including the Chancellor's Gallery in Albany, NY, the ASIS Gallery at the University of Rochester, and the Rochester Contemporary Arts Center. She currently has three exhibitions planned for 2025, with details to be determined.
